The Maids of Greater Lehigh Valley • Oct 10, 2014

A clean bedroom is not only a comfortable place to be in but also a healthy place to be in. This is because a bedroom that is cleaned and sanitized is free from bacteria and other disease causing organisms that can harm you and other people that come to your bedroom. You don’t have to use a lot of effort to make your bedroom. You can just use a few simple techniques that will help you clean your bedroom in the best way possible. Here are simple things that you should do to clean and sanitize your home

Dust Your Rooms

This should be the first step when you start cleaning and sanitizing your bedroom. Dust each and every section of your bedroom to get rid of the dust on different surfaces, bed and furniture.

Change Your Linens

Dirty sheet can not only be unhealthy, but can also make your sleep pace less relaxing. Changing your sheets and other linens should be a once-a-week routine to keep your sleeping space clean and your sleep more relaxing.

Vacuum the Bedroom

Vacuum the floor in your bedroom, the carpet, furniture and all other fabrics to remove dust and other particles. Do not leave out hidden spaces and those spaces that are had to reach.

Wipe the Surfaces with Mild Detergent or a Suitable Cleaning Solution

Use a microfiber cloth and a mild disinfectant cleanser to wipe surfaces such as nightstands and dressers. Surfaces that require special cleaning solutions such as wood should be wiped using the specialized solutions after disinfection.

Mop the Floor

If you have hardwood or tile in your bedroom, it is important to mop this surface to remove dirt, grime, and germs. Start from the furthest corner and mop towards the entrance. Make sure to rinse the mop often as you go to avoid simply spreading dirt around.
