Oven cleaning is one of the most taxing cleaning tasks in your kitchen. With the rising awareness about the harmful effects of commercial cleaners, it would be the last thing you would risk your family’s well-being with. Lye and ammonia, which are the main ingredients in commercial oven cleaners, are one of the reasons behind dishpan hands. The sparkling clean gives you the satisfaction of a job well done but the immediate fumes on initial baking find its way into your food, lungs and environment. We, as the anchor of our family want the best for them and we would do what we can to make it possible. So, why not make our own Easy Green oven Cleaner Recipe and ensure the well-being of our family.

Making your own oven cleaner is easy, economical and environment friendly. The ingredients are right at your hand in your kitchen and it won’t take more than a few minutes to make your green oven cleaner. So, the first ingredient is baking soda which is naturally abrasive and can handle cleaning of the toughest of grime and stuck or burnt food leftovers. The second trusted ingredient is white vinegar, which is again a strong disinfectant and deodorizer to take care of all the lingering odors which make your kitchen smell stale. So, the stage being set, let’s proceed to the final part.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup organic white vinegar
  • Water for making a paste

Mix the ingredients in a bowl and make a paste with a consistency that you can paint your oven surface with. After removing the racks and wiping the surface lightly with a dry wash cloth, paint your oven with this paste generously. Leave it for 5-6 hours. Now, dipping your scrubber into a clean bowl of water, wipe off the surface until you get a sparkling clean. Do keep changing the water. You can also add a homemade soap nuts liquid to your cleaner, which is again very easy to make. You just have to boil 7-10 soap nuts in 12 cups of water and strain the liquid. Mix it into your oven cleaner instead of water and you will get a soapy foamy all natural oven cleaner that cleans and sparkles to the tee.

What actually comes as a breather is just not the satisfaction of achieving your target but an assurance that you are not compromising your family’ health. So, go ahead and use the Easy Green oven Cleaner Recipe for a green, economical and health friendly regular oven cleaning.
